Walley grew by 2.5 billion in the first half of the year
Payment solution provider Walley has had a strong development in recent years. During the first half of 2021, transaction volume growth was 55%, which corresponds to an increase of over SEK 2.5 billion for the segment, that offers payment solutions for e-commerce and stores mainly in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
The growth is driven by collaborations with existing and new customers. Several of them are major e-commerce players in the Nordic region, such as Royal Design and Byggmax Group, where the co-operation has deepened during the year, in order to develop new services and functions.
Together with Byggmax Group, we have, among other things, been able to improve our checkout to give end customers the opportunity to choose from different delivery options. We are constantly developing new features based on customers' needs, which has become our hallmark and will also be of great benefit to our other customers, regardless of industry and size," says Mikael Anstrin, General Manager at Walley.
Walley is part of the listed bank Collector offering financial services for both companies and individuals. Now they choose to invest further in the area of payment solutions to strengthen their position there. During the autumn, several improvements and news will reach the market, including the launch of a new Merchant hub, which facilitates administration, order and invoice management for more than 600 merchants. Earlier this year, a collaboration was also entered upon with Swish and the Nordic counterparts Vipps and MobilePay, which are now fully integrated into Walley checkout.
"We have seen a very positive impact from the three established mobile payment methods, which further strengthens our position towards becoming the leading payment provider in the Nordic region."
In terms of market share, Walley is among the top three payment solution providers in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The Swedish market accounts for the largest volume, but growth is strong in all three countries. Finland has long been established as a market leader and has partnerships with players such as Paytrail, KESKO, S-Group, Stockmann, and Terveystalo. Norway is also seeing great opportunities to grow. The latest in the line is a B2B payment solution for one of Norway's leading consumer electronics chains Power, another confirmation that Walley has a strong offer for both B2C and B2B.
